16 days until I marry the man I love. Time has gone by quickly. It is still hard for me to believe that I have been here 8 weeks already. It's been crazy busy. Between wedding planning, marriage counseling, church programs many nights a week, trips to Karamoja, Abdu training kids in soccer, planning for the 2015 Ezekiel 37 school year, and did I mention wedding planning? We are going pretty much non-stop.
Everything seems to take forever here. You have to drive here and there and here and there looking for what you need. We have been in downtown Kampala more than I care to be there. One day with the girls looking for shoes, one day with the girls to look at dresses, one day with the boys looking for suits and shoes, etc. It's been a whirlwind really.
I get in the car each day with the expectation of being out until late so I have my bible, my bottle of water, a long skirt or pants and jacket for the evening to prevent the mosquitoes from getting me. You learn things as you go along here. All these shorter skirts I bought are basically useless unless I know we will be home before dark.
But all in all we are in the final preparation stage for the wedding. Everything has been ordered or bought for the wedding. Now we need to shift to purchasing everything for the Ezekiel 37 sponsored students for their first term of school and then preparing the house for our house guests to come! My mom, sister, nephew and best friend will arrive on the 19th and I want to spend all time with them and not worry about too much else that week.
So we are ready. We are happy. We are excited. I can't wait to be Mrs. Sekamanya!
Stay tuned...
