Mom, Tammy and Dominic treated me to a stay at a nice hotel in downtown Kampala for the night before the wedding. It was a wonderful time to spend with them and just relaxing. Dominic and I shared a King bed...he kicked me TWICE during the night!
The morning started a tad early...I woke up at 6 am feeling rested and ready for the BIG day! My phone was on silent and I was typing some sweet message to post on Facebook to Abdu and at the same time he called me. We wanted to pray together before the day started. We knew it could get crazy and we just wanted the time to be able to stop for a few minutes and just put our day completely in God's hands.
We enjoyed a great buffet breakfast and I ate a lot because I knew it would be a long time before I'd get to eat anything else.
We were told that the cars were coming to get us at 10:00am...so we were dressed and ready to go at 10:00am....
We were ready...and waiting....

Patiently waiting...for 1.5 hours...
Meanwhile...the bridesmaids and flower girl (my step-daughter) were off being beautified too.
Me looking at the others take pictures...thinking that we are running late and I'm ready to get married! I also had the air conditioned car and there was no way I was getting out to risk my dress getting dirty or me sweating.
Finally on our way to get this girl hitched! Dominic was my escort to the church...fitting I think. Me and my little butterbean.
